This presentation will teach you about butterflies and what they need to survive. We will discuss both native and non-native, invasive plants, and the role they play in your backyard. Gabriela will delve into strategies and types of native plants that will make your backyard appealing and inviting for butterflies.

We will stroll through the Arboretum as we walk and talk about whatever nature offers us. Along the way we check the pollinator meadow and other gardens for butterflies.

Friday Evening Butterfly Program & Walk at the Greensboro Science Center

We will enjoy a walk through the Cole Family Monarch Conservation Center and Butterfly House at 6 and then to see some of the pollinator pockets that have been planted on the premises. Following the tour, we will go inside for a short program about their efforts, patio gardening for pollinators, and a bite of dessert from Maxie B’s.
