Sunday Afternoon Nature Walk

  • Greensboro Arboretum (map)

Please join us for a Sunday stroll through the Greensboro Arboretum. The Greensboro Arboretum consists of 17 acres with approximately 2 miles of walking paths and features 14 plant collections. We will meet at the Information Kiosk, just across the bridge at the Starmount Drive parking lot, and then follow the path towards the Marzulla Butterfly Bridge where we will see what we can find.  From there we will walk and talk about whatever nature offers us as we check the pollinator meadow and other gardens for butterflies. With the nearby Buffalo Creek we may even catch a glimpse of some migrating birds since water is a valuable resource for them. With plenty of trees we should be able to find shade and there are benches along the paths for anyone needing to sit for a bit.

Please plan to join us for our inaugural Sunday Afternoon Nature Walk. Wear comfortable walking shoes; bring some water if it is hot; and binoculars if you have them. This is a family friendly walk, so please bring your children.
