Three Seasons of Native Plants with Ann Walter-Fromson

  • Kathleen Clay Edwards Library 1420 Price Park Drive Greensboro, NC, 27410 United States (map)

Program Description: Native plants provide food, shelter, and places to nest for birds and other wildlife. Keystone plant species are especially beneficial for wildlife. We’ll look at a succession of flowering native plants in the Piedmont from spring to fall and discover some of the fascinating interactions between plants and their wildlife partners.

Speaker Bio: A retired psychology professor, Ann Walter-Fromson is an active member of T. Gilbert Pearson Audubon Society, the Triad chapter of the NC Native Plant Society, and Piedmont Bird Club. She is a certified NC Environmental Educator, and a 2017 graduate of the Certificate in Native Plant Studies program at the NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill, for which she conducted an independent research study of pollinators attracted to the native plants in her yard.

Program begins at 7. Come a little early and socialize with us and as always, the event is free and open to the public!
