April Program: My Discovery of Native Plants

  • Kathleen Clay Edwards Branch of the Greensboro Library (map)

Robin Davis, the founder of Maxie B’s Bakery, will be speaking on the importance of native plants.

A NC native, Robin grew up at the end of a dirt road in Kernersville.  After graduating from UNC-CH in 1985 with a degree in Business Administration, she opened a frozen yogurt shop in Greensboro.  37 years later, she’s still at it, but with many evolutions (now a cake shop) and missions (sustainability and conservation) that have sprouted along the way.

She will tell us about her passion for gardening with native plants and why she believes that we all have a role to play in restoring our native ecology right in our own back yards.
