Winter Wipeout Cleanup at the ANA

Please join fellow Audubon members, along with some local boy scouts, as we do our annual Winter Wipeout at the Audubon Natural Area.

The Winter Wipeout, one of Greensboro Beautiful’s three annual community wide cleanups, is of particular value to the ANA. This is because at this time of year, with vegetation dead or dormant, trash that is invisible and inaccessible much of the year can be reached and removed.

This activity will take place on Saturday, February 19 from 9:00-11:00. Park at the Natural Area, located on Tankersley Drive behind Moses Cone Hospital, by driving over the curb and onto the gravel parking area near the entrance sign. Audubon has several grabbers available for use, several pairs of gloves for those in need, and will provide trash bags. Orange safety vests are available for those covering the streets bordering the property. Sturdy work shoes and tick repellent are strongly recommended.
