Quercus alba is a native oak and common to the forests of the southeast. They are a great choice for restoration projects and erosion control, or as a shade tree in a yard or along your street. Their acorns are a valuable food source for wildlife and the trees themselves host over 500 species of Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) caterpillars that will support baby birds or grow to be important pollinators.
