Come develop your identification skills as we search for a variety of birds living and migrating through this area of northeastern Guilford County. Some of the birds we may expect to see include Eastern Meadowlarks, Great Blue Herons, hawks, vireos, swallows, as well as other early migrants.
Location: Meet at the trail kiosk at the Guilford County Farm, 7315 Howerton Road, Elon, NC 27244.
Time: 8:00 a.m. until about 11:30 a.m.
Habitat: roadsides, fields, and margins
Difficulty rating: 1; easy walking on and beside flat fields and along roads, some areas may be slippery in spots, shoes with traction advisable.
Provisions needed: Water, drinks, lunch/snacks.
Cancellation: In case of inclement weather, the trip will be cancelled. Contact the Trip Coordinator.
Special Note: There are restroom facilities at the trailhead.
