Backyard Biodiversity in a suburban Piedmont yard

Backyard Biodiversity in a suburban Piedmont yard with John Gerwin.

In 2005 John and his wife moved into a house with a typical suburban yard – mostly lawn, English Ivy, and a mix of pines and Piedmont hardwood trees.  Since then, they have planted 100’s and 100’s of native plants to create an urban wildlife oasis, evidenced by the large array of animals (big and small) that visit their yard now.  In this presentation John will explore the question “If you build it, will they come?”
