Haw River Trail

The November Sunday Nature Walk will take place in Alamance County in the historic area of Saxapahaw. We will walk the Haw River Trail on the section that begins below the amphitheater found behind the row of shops just past the intersection of Saxapahaw-Swepsonville Road and Church Road (where the bridge crosses the Haw River).  Parking is not available at the trail head itself.  Park either in the lot that serves the businesses where the The Eddy Restaurant and the Service Station are located, or at the Haw River Canoe Access lot. 

The trail is an in-and-out 1.5 mile mostly flat walk that parallels the river.  We will walk as far as the group desires and then double back.  Bring binoculars – winter visitors such as kinglets and Yellow-rumped Warblers have arrived.  Contact Lynn Moseley (lmoseley@guilford.edu) if you have questions.
